Cathleen has over 15 years of experience coaching senior leaders including CEOs and Presidents, business unit heads, functional heads of marketing, sales, customer service, operations, finance, IT, and legal as well as emerging leaders across multiple industries including financial services, health care, and energy. She has extensive experience in helping leaders enhance their skills to effectively develop high performing teams, build relationships to successfully influence key stakeholders and navigate the political landscape, and communicate from the C- Suite to front line employees.
In addition, Cathleen specializes in helping leaders both internally and externally transition into new roles and maximize their success. She also serves as a consultant focused on strategy development and implementation and aligning organizations/teams for success.
Career Background and Additional Achievements
Cathleen is a former senior executive and one of 150 officers worldwide at The American Express Company. During her 18 years, she held numerous leadership positions in three different businesses including leading a 2,500 multifunctional and multi-site team responsible for growing a $7B portfolio of business. Her team ranked #1 in achieving financial goals, client retention, and employee engagement for multiple years. One of the most fulfilling aspects of her career has been developing outstanding leaders not only at The American Express Company but her clients over 15 years, who continue to succeed and make an impact in their companies and industries.
Cathleen has served on a number of boards including The University of Michigan Corporate Advisory Board, Opportunity Board of Governors, Northwestern University Settlement House Board NS and the Winnetka Public Schools Foundation Board.
Education and Certifications
Cathleen earned her B.A. from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and M.B.A. from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. She is certified in the Hogan Assessment System.
