Judy has experience coaching in a variety of industries including Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, and Technology. She has coached in the functional areas of IT, Operations, Sales, HR, and specialty areas such as Underwriting and Claims. Judy specializes in coaching at the Director, AVP and VP levels within organizations.
Judy focuses her leadership development work in the following areas:
- Executive coaching helping leaders with their interpersonal communications and leadership style, including executive presence and meeting facilitation
- 360-feedback assessment and development
- Custom training development and delivery
- Team facilitation and development
Business and Career Background
Judy has over 25 years of experience leading Talent Management and Leadership Development efforts for large organizations as well as professional service firms. Her positions have included Vice President of Leadership Development for Baxter Healthcare, Chief Talent Officer for Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a large national law firm, and Vice President of Global Talent Development for a multi-national leadership advisory firm. Other companies that Judy has worked for include Fujisawa Healthcare Inc., The Northern Trust Bank, IVAC Inc. and General Dynamics.
During her 11-year tenure at Baxter Healthcare, Judy worked in three different divisions: the Biotech Division, Medical Products and finally in a corporate role as the Vice President of Learning and Development. In this last role, Judy was responsible for leading and implementing the core leadership development programs and processes for the organization. Some of the programs she implemented included a core supervisory program for all Baxter first line managers, a high-potential program for mid-level leaders and an executive coaching process for senior leaders.
Education and Certifications
Judy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology, both from San Diego State University. She is a certified executive coach through the Center for Executive Coaching. Judy is also certified in many leadership assessments including Hogan Assessment Systems, Benchmarks, Myers-Briggs, DiSC, StrengthsFinder, EQi and Team Management Systems.
